Old movies and nowadays movies

Compare the old school stories like men in black, dude where is my car and etc with new movies like pink panther 2, the punisher and etc.

So? what is improving?
For me, the scene quality nowadays are high quality compared to the old movies but the plot for old movies is very much nicer than nowadays one. e.g "get smart" Its fun to watch this movie but I already know how the plot will be before watching it so its kind of bored laughing to the jokes that I know, hahahha
